Direction : Turn the following into the passive.

1. He says to me, “What is your name?”

Ans. He asks me what my name is.

Ans. She asked who would help her.

 

7. He said to me, “Who has beaten you?”

Ans. He asked me who had beaten me.

 

8. He said to me, “Who wanted to kill you?”

Ans. He asked me who had wanted to kill me.

 

9. She said, “What is this?”

Ans. She asked me what that was.

 

10. He asked, “Which team won the match?”

Ans. He asked which team had won the match.

 

11. He said, “What happened?”

Ans. He asked what had happened.

 

12. I said to my father, “Who was with you?”

Ans. I asked my father who had been with him.

 

13. He said to me, “Who can defeat  me?”

Ans. He asked me who could defeat him.

 

14. She said to me, “What should I do for you?”

Ans. She asked me what should she do for me.

 

15. Ramu said, “Who was calling me?”

Ans. Ramu asked who had been calling him.

 

16. The farmer said, “Who long will it rain?”

Ans. The farmer asked how long it would rain.

 

17. She said to me, “How many pens have you?”

Ans. She asked me how many pens I had.

 

18. They said to me, “Who is helping you?”

Ans. They asked me who was helping me.

19. She said to him, “What is the problem with you?”

Ans. She asked him what the problem was with him.

 

20. The man said to the little girl, “Who are you and what do you want?”

Ans. The man asked the little girl who she was and what she wanted.
